AI Engineer & Systems Architect
I build AI systems that take over work people are currently doing by hand. In practice that means agents that plan and call their own tools, retrieval pipelines that answer from real documents instead of guessing, and the FastAPI and Next.js backends that keep all of it running once it leaves my machine.
Most of what I have built started as somebody else's bottleneck. A photographer sorting thousands of event photos one face at a time. A hiring team running the same screening call over and over. I like that kind of problem, where the fix is clear enough in principle and the real work is making it hold up under load.
I also run things outside the editor. I founded and chaired the IEEE Computer Society chapter at TTU with 30 volunteers, chaired the IMPACT conference for 300 participants with Ministry backing, and was named IEEE Region 8 Best Ambassador in 2023.
If a person is doing it the same way every time, it should be a system.

I like taking messy, manual processes and turning them into systems that just run themselves.
